Could not access to the Report Manager URL with the following error:
User ‘domainuser’ does not have required permissions. Verify that sufficient permissions have been granted and Windows User Account Control (UAC) restrictions have been addressed.
The issue may be caused by the User Account Control performance.
Please follow these next steps to resolve your issue:
- Change the elevation prompt behavior for administrators:
- Click Start, click Accessories, click Run, type secpol.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
- From the Local Security Settings console tree, click Local Policies, and then click Security Options.
- Scroll down to and double-click User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators.
- From the drop-down menu, select the following settings:
- Click OK.
- Close the Local Security Settings window.
- Perform the system reboot if you will be notified that it is needed to apply changes.
- Open up the Reports URL to verify. If the issue persists, follow next steps:
- Close the browser.
- Right click on the Internet Explorer icon and select Run as administrator.
- Navigated to the Report Manager URL.
If you are able to see the home page and all other menu including the Site Settings perform these steps:
- Click Site Settings -> Security and select New Role Assignment.
- Add your domainuser account and assign to all the roles.
- Save changes and close the browser.
- Run the browser in normal mode. If the error message appear continue with step 4. If you are able to see the home page and all other menu including the Site Settings, no need to continue with step 4.
- Use the following procedure to disable User Account Control:
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, click User Accounts.
- In the User Accounts window, click User Accounts (or Change User Account Control Settings).
- In the User Accounts tasks window, turn off Turn User Account Control (or switch to Never Notify).
- If UAC is currently configured in Admin Approval Mode, the User Account Control message appears. Click Continue.
- Clear the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box, and then click OK.
- Click Restart Now to apply the change right away, or click Restart Later, and then close the User Accounts tasks window.
- Run the browser in normal mode and check if the problem is solved.
